Role Title: Software Engineering - Quality Engineering Lead (Test Lead)

Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid - 2 days a week)


Test Automation (Selenium/BDD) – 2+ years

Backend API Validation (RestAssured/Postman) – 2+ years

Java Coding – 2+ years

Experience testing frontend, backend, database and legacy systems like Mainframes/AS400 (iSeries)


NICE-TO-HAVES


Integration of LLM agents (O365, Co-pilot, etc.) for test planning.

Functional Testing (Advanced P3 level).

Industry experience and Bachelor’s Degree.


DISQUALIFIERS


Candidates not local to Memphis, TN (or not willing to relocate).

Candidates requiring sponsorship (Client is looking for GC/EAD only).

Lack of hands-on Java coding experience for automation scripts.



POSITION OVERVIEW The Quality Engineering Lead will join the Products business organization to define and drive the overall test automation strategy and roadmap. This role focuses on leading test design activities and managing coverage strategy across UI, API, and integration layers to ensure delivery quality.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead test design activities including test scenarios, test cases, and coverage strategy across UI, API, and integration layers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (data driven, keyword driven, hybrid).
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Oversee test execution (manual and automated) and provide clear status, risk, and quality reporting to leadership.
  • Review automation code, enforce coding standards, and drive framework governance.
  • Mentor and guide automation engineers while upskilling team members on best practices.

TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS

  1. Test Automation (Lean FT, Selenium, or BDD Cucumber) – 2+ years
  2. Backend API Validation (RestAssured, Postman, or Karate) – 2+ years
  3. Java Coding – 2+ years (within 8+ years total experience)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration (Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • LLM Agent Integration (Github Co-pilot, Claude, Gemini)
  • ISTQB / Advanced Test Automation Certificates
  • Mainframe/AS400 (iSeries) testing experience
