A leading systematic trading firm is looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join its growing global security function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their security career to gain exposure to a high-performance, technology-driven environment, working closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to support secure operations at scale. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the day-to-day security posture of a complex, globally distributed platform, while also contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting security operations across the business, ensuring requests and tasks are handled efficiently while maintaining strong security standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing incoming security requests and operational tickets, ensuring timely resolution
• Executing day-to-day security tasks such as:
• Access provisioning and deprovisioning

• Permission management
• Firewall rule updates
• Supporting identity and access management (IAM) processes and ensuring adherence to security policies
• Collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to maintain secure operations
• Maintaining and improving security documentation and procedures
• Identifying opportunities for automation and process optimisation
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of operational efficiency and control effectiveness
  
  
  

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in cyber security, IT operations, or technical support
• Familiarity with enterprise security tools (e.g. identity providers, firewalls)
• Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Consistent and structured approach to following processes and identifying improvements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Genuine interest in building a career in security operations
