Senior UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer

SENIOR UX / UI DESIGNER & DEVELOPER ROLES

Location: Surrey, UK

Type: Full-Time

We're partnering with a global software company undergoing a major platform modernisation: transitioning from legacy desktop tools to modern, web-native experiences that will transform how engineers model, analyse, and optimise complex systems worldwide.

As part of this strategic transformation, we're hiring for two senior roles to drive UX/UI and front-end excellence:

1. Senior Product UI/UX Designer – Interface & Web Modernisation Programme Lead the UX vision for next-gen web-based engineering tools. Translate complex scientific/engineering workflows into intuitive, efficient interfaces. Conduct user research, create wireframes/prototypes, establish design standards, and ensure user-centric evolution across products. 

Essential: Proven experience in complex software UX/UI, strong interaction design principles, collaboration with engineering teams. 

Desirable: Technical/enterprise domain experience, user research with specialist users, Figma/prototyping mastery.

2. Senior UI/UX Front-End Developer – Interface & Web Modernisation Programme Hands-on leadership in building scalable web interfaces and front-end architecture. Implement high-performance UIs using modern JS frameworks (React or similar), develop reusable component libraries, mentor others, and help transition to in-house capability. Influence tech stack decisions for long-term scalability. 

Essential: Strong modern web dev experience (React etc.), front-end architecture/scalability, cross-functional collaboration. 

Desirable: Electron/hybrid frameworks, design systems, complex domain apps, mentoring experience.
