Description

We are looking for an experienced Back End Developer to join our team on a 5-6 month contract basis. This position involves working with advanced technologies to support data migration and back-end integration efforts. The role is fully remote and requires a highly skilled individual with strong attention to detail, capable of leading Java-related development tasks while collaborating with teams using C++ and Python.

Responsibilities:

Extract, clean, and transform data from existing Java-based systems to support migration processes.

Lead the integration of data into a new Fusion application using C++ and Python.

Act as the subject-matter expert for Java development and oversee all Java-related decisions.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability.

Use GitLab for version control and continuous integration workflows.

Manage tasks and sprints effectively within Jira to meet project deadlines.

Deliver reliable and high-quality back-end development solutions tailored to project requirements.

Ensure compliance with security protocols and government contracting standards.

Requirements

Extensive experience in Java development at a senior level.

Proven expertise in data parsing, transformation, and back-end integration.

Proficiency in C++ and Python for cross-application interaction.

Hands-on experience with GitLab for version control and CI processes.

Familiarity with Jira for Agile task management and workflow organization.

Ability to work autonomously as the lead Java engineer on complex projects.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. to meet contracting regulations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address development challenges.
