The Marketing Strategy and Intelligence team at trivago is a unique blend of business and data roles, driving strategic decisions in marketing through data insights, innovative products, and deep market understanding. As the Strategy and Growth Manager, you will be dedicated to uncovering new growth opportunities and delivering business value through financial planning, controlling, performance and opportunity analysis, as well as project management and execution of strategic cross-functional initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Financial Management & Performance Optimization: Drive financial modeling and planning across markets — building robust models, leading marketing P&L forecasting and controlling processes, and continuously identifying optimization opportunities to maximize revenue and contribution margin growth.
- Opportunity Identification & Validation: Collaborate closely with marketing teams to identify and define growth opportunities, build supporting business cases, and validate hypotheses through structured experimentation and testing frameworks.
- Strategic Coordination: Drive strategic initiatives end-to-end, partnering with Business Units on strategy formation and quarterly objective-setting by providing a holistic view of the business.
- Insight Delivery: Deliver structured, actionable insights from a cross-channel perspective — challenging the status quo and surfacing opportunities that others may overlook.
- Senior Stakeholder Management: Manage alignment with functional leads and senior leadership, ensuring the team's analytical output translates into meaningful business actions and decisions.
- Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Lead a diverse portfolio of strategic projects spanning multiple business units, driving execution from concept through impact measurement.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Partner with Data Analysts and Scientists to convert data insights into holistic marketing strategies, maximizing business value.

- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in strategic, financial, or analytical roles within a digital/tech environment.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or similar.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of how diverse user acquisition strategies, channel economics, and marketing investments drive revenue and contribution margin growth in a test-and-learn framework.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build trust and influence with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, driving alignment and converting analytical output into business action.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using a data-driven approach to identify business opportunities and make strategic decisions.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to operate at both the macro and micro level — zooming out to see full business implications while diving deep into the details when needed.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data Storytelling: Excellent data storytelling skills with compelling and easily understandable narratives for a wide range of audiences, including executives.
