🚀 We're Hiring: Senior Machine Learning Engineer | Portugal

We're partnering with a fast-growing global game-tech company to find a Senior ML Engineer who's ready to lead - not just build.

This is a role for engineers who think in systems, mentor those around them, and take real ownership of complex AI products from concept to production.

🔍 What you'll be working on:

✦ Designing and delivering end-to-end ML pipelines at scale in distributed environments

✦ Building real-time inference systems and model serving solutions

✦ Owning MLOps: CI/CD, drift monitoring, automated evaluation, and alerting

✦ Leading project planning, roadmaps, and post-launch retrospectives

✦ Collaborating cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Owners

🧠 What makes this role stand out:

This isn't a heads-down engineering seat. You'll mentor fellow engineers, drive technical vision, and help shape how ML is operationalised across an AI department spanning fraud detection, personalised recommendations, CRM optimisation, and AI-powered copilots.

✅ What you bring:

→ Deep Python experience in large-scale, high-performance production environments

→ Proven ability to design complex, scalable ML systems — and influence broader technical outcomes

→ Hands-on with Azure or AWS, and tools like Kubernetes & Docker

→ Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Spark Streaming)

→ Strong MLOps knowledge: MLflow, Kubeflow, and the full ML project lifecycle

→ A genuine track record of mentoring and growing engineers

→ Excellent communication skills — you can make complex technical ideas land with any audience

📍 Location: Portugal (fully remote or hybrid with 1 day/week in the office if you're based in Lisbon)
