Position Overview


Our client is seeking a Business Data Analyst III to support a high-impact team within a consumer technology organization. This role sits within the Consumer Group supporting a major tax platform, focusing on customer service knowledge and content analytics.


The team manages knowledge content used by customer support experts, CPA professionals, and customers within the product experience. This role will play a key part in helping the organization understand how knowledge content is created, used, and surfaced across support and AI-powered experiences.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on data analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable data solutions, and translating large datasets into meaningful insights that improve business outcomes.


Role Responsibilities:

Knowledge & Content Analytics

  • Analyze performance and usage of knowledge content used by internal experts and customers
  • Evaluate how knowledge content is accessed, reviewed, and utilized across the platform
  • Track expert engagement with knowledge content and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor content effectiveness and ensure adequate knowledge coverage for support teams

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Consolidate data across multiple systems to create a clear view of knowledge content performance
  • Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into key metrics
  • Analyze data related to:
  • Content usage
  • Customer interactions with knowledge content
  • Expert review activity
  • AI-driven content retrieval

Data Infrastructure & Pipeline Support

  • Identify and evaluate existing data pipelines and data sources
  • Partner with internal data teams to improve data accessibility and reporting workflows
  • Support the development and management of data pipelines and data lakes where needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product managers, data teams, and operations teams to gather requirements
  • Translate complex technical insights into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help establish consistent reporting processes and data governance practices

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or quantitative analysis
  • Strong experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
  • Experience building data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as:
  • Tableau
  • Power BI
  • or similar BI platforms
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytics systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Python, R, or other statistical programming languages
  • Experience with data pipeline or data infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to technologies such as:
  • Hadoop
  • Hive
  • HBase
  • MapReduce
  • Redshift or other MPP systems
  • Experience analyzing AI-driven content retrieval or product usage data
  • Experience working in product, analytics, or customer experience teams

Technical Environment

  • SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
  • Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Python or R
  • Hadoop ecosystem technologies
  • Large-scale data platforms such as Redshift or Vertica
