Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Active Secret clearance, or higher
Location: Hybrid (Flexible, with onsite requirement at customer locations 25% or more) Must be within 90 minutes commuting distance of one of the following DISA DHMC locations:
- Mechanicsburg, PA
- Ogden, UT
- Oklahoma City, OK
- Montgomery, AL
- Ft. Meade, MD
Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 (depending on experience and qualifications; relocation assistance may be built into total compensation where applicable)
Employment Type: Full-time, long-term position (10-year program: 5-year base contract with 5 option years)

Key Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including installation, patching, hardening, package management, performance tuning, and full lifecycle support in production environments
- Manage Linux server operations, including user administration, storage configuration, service troubleshooting, kernel updates, and adherence to security compliance standards
- Support virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere, including VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, host/cluster administration, HA/DRS configuration, and platform maintenance
- Build and maintain containerized environments with Kubernetes, handling cluster operations, workload deployment, namespace management, and troubleshooting of containerized services
- Work with Docker for container image building/deployment, runtime support, and registry integration
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Ansible, shell scripting, Python, and Terraform to ensure repeatable and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, virtualization, networking, and container platforms in multi-site enterprise environments
- Perform lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and ongoing operational maintenance
- Support secure infrastructure operations in alignment with DoD/enterprise security standards and procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, build procedures, operational runbooks, and standard operating processes

- Proven experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in enterprise/production settings
- Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management
- Proficiency in automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, Python, and shell scripting
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, routing, switching, BGP, OSPF)
- Experience supporting secure, compliance-driven environments (preferably DoD or government)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (active clearance preferred)
- Willingness to work hybrid with onsite presence at DISA locations as required (25%+)
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
