Job Description
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Manager (HR/Marketing/Business Transformation) for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
Remote (with occasional onsite meetings)
Key Tasks
- Provide project and program management services for assigned projects and initiatives.
- Deliver objective and transparent oversight of project execution.
- Support the definition of project objectives, scope, and execution roadmap in alignment with strategic goals under the guidance of the Project Lead.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets while managing dependencies and critical paths.
- Prepare and maintain key project documentation including Project Charters, Project Schedules, Stakeholder Registers, and status reports.
- Provide regular status reporting in accordance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards and requirements.
- Support the execution of core project tasks and deliverables as required.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure active participation throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive contingency plans.
- Manage scope changes, assess impacts, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and effective decision-making.
- Oversee change management activities and/or operational handover to ensure smooth adoption of project outcomes.
- Track and manage project budgets and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance frameworks, project management standards, and organizational policies.

Key Qualifications
- Minimum 6–8 years of senior-level project management experience leading medium to complex initiatives.
- Experience developing frameworks, roadmaps, or training programs to support equity and inclusion
- Experience building multi-year marketing, brand, or communications strategies and experience identifying gaps in employee experience and engagement
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process, including a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC), will be required.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate consensus and resolve complex issues involving multiple perspectives.
- Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to drive strategy while actively contributing to execution.
- Experience managing virtual or distributed teams.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, working with senior executives and navigating executive-level expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools or information systems.
- Experience developing data-driven recommendations to optimize service offerings, including identifying opportunities for investment, realignment, and discontinuation

- Experience working within or alongside a corporate Program Management Office (PMO) is considered an asset.
- Experience or familiarity with humanitarian aid, emergency services, or related sectors is considered an asset.
- PROSCI Change Management certification considered an asset.
- Fluency in French is an asset but not required.
