Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Drive the full embedded software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, implement, and test software solutions for aerospace and defense applications. Optimize software for performance, reliability, and maintainability using cutting-edge tools and methodologies. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous learning. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies to enhance offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete embedded software development lifecycle, from initial concept through final deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, implement, and test software solutions tailored for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Optimize software for enhanced performance, reliability, and maintainability using advanced tools and methodologies.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies to enhance company offerings and maintain a competitive advantage.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages for systems programming.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with real-time Linux and RTOS.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hardware-software integration with ARM platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Experience with Directed Energy and Space Domain Awareness technologies.

This position requires on-site work five days a week from 8 am to 4 pm. The work attire is casual, allowing jeans and polos.
