Senior Payroll Specialist

Our client is a late-stage, global cybersecurity company seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support their growing payroll operations. This is a 100% remote, part-time, long-term contract role. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll for 500+ employees located in the U.S., ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll delivery. This role will also support payroll accounting activities, multi-state compliance, and collaborate closely with HR and tax teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for 500+ employees across the U.S
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries and assist with payroll account reconciliations
• Manage multi-state payroll compliance, including new state payroll registrations
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax teams to resolve payroll-related matters

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
• Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
