What is the job about?
As a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of cutting-edge technologies and challenging engineering projects within the chemical industry. You will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems, instrumentation, and control solutions for a wide range of applications focused on sustainability, green chemistry, and circularity. Your work will span from conceptual engineering to commissioning, offering a full-spectrum experience in innovative chemical processes.
Examples of projects include:
- Designing and implementing advanced control systems and instrumentation for processes such as, “Carbon Capture”, "Waste to Chemicals", and other circular technologies.
- Developing and scaling up innovative electrical solutions from lab/prototype to pilot to production.
- Integrating state-of-the-art electrical and control systems into existing chemical installations, both off- and on-site.

For this position, we would like to get in touch with all‑round technical professionals who recognize themselves in this description:
- Academic or higher degree (Bachelor/Master) in electrical, instrumentation, controls engineering, or related.
- Experience and ambition to work in a chemical process settings (e.g., chemical plants, food & beverage, life sciences) where EI&C systems are integral.
- Customer focus and entrepreneurial attitude, eager to innovate and optimize processes.
- You feel comfortable to work in a multidisciplinary environment and enjoy interacting with fellow engineers and clients, especially the interaction of the fun(ny) type :-)
- You have a practical hands-on approach with a knack for developing and implementing reliable and effective EI&C solutions.
- Socially engaged and well-developed communicative skills. What we mean by that? Your reports are clear, concise and accurate. You align the info that you wish to share and you are a good listener.
- Willingness to travel (sometimes) to execute challenging projects on site in the Netherlands
- Languages: English. Command of Dutch is highly preferred (if not: we offer a bespoke language training)
