Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve Ribeye’s canonical abstraction layer across Plan → Activate → Measure.
Build and standardize Ribeye’s interoperability layer, enabling structured and repeatable integrations with DSPs, ad servers, data providers, OMS systems, CRM platforms, and other third-party vendors.
Establish generic integration frameworks rather than bespoke implementations to support traditional media company workflows at scale.
Translate product requirements into practical, well-designed technical solutions.
Ensure disciplined delivery processes with predictable execution and high quality.
Identify and implement modern AI solutions to improve traditional engineering workflows and product capabilities.
Operate with an AI-first mindset, leveraging LLMs, automation frameworks, and intelligent systems to increase development velocity and unlock new product capabilities.
Establish best practices for AI-assisted engineering while maintaining quality and governance standards.
Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them where strategically valuable.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering organization.
Operate as a “player–coach” — actively contributing to code reviews, debugging, and system design.
Set clear standards for code quality, documentation, testing, and deployment.
Create a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Clearly differentiate between core platform development and partner-specific customizations, ensuring the product remains scalable while supporting revenue-driving extensions in a controlled manner.
Manage a combination of internal engineers and outsourced development partners.
Establish clear SLAs, performance metrics, and communication frameworks across teams.
Ensure offshore and third-party contributors are tightly aligned with product and business goals.
Optimize resource allocation for speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
Partner closely with Product to balance innovation, technical feasibility, and speed to market.
Provide technical insight during roadmap planning and strategic discussions.
Design scalable integration patterns for upstream systems used by traditional media companies (CRM, OMS, billing, forecasting, inventory systems), enabling Ribeye to embed into partner workflows in a repeatable and non-custom way.
Support Sales, Marketing, and Operations with technical expertise where needed.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all technology-related matters.

Role Overview

Ribeye is seeking a hands-on, execution-driven Vice President of Technology to lead our engineering organization and shape the technical future of the company.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Technology will own the architecture, scalability, security, and delivery of our technology platform. This leader will work in close partnership with the Product team to translate roadmap vision into robust, scalable solutions — while driving innovation through modern AI capabilities.

This is a player–coach role: you will lead teams, set standards, and define strategy — but you will also be comfortable reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, and building critical components when needed.

You will oversee a blended engineering model consisting of both in-house and outsourced development teams, ensuring high performance, accountability, and delivery excellence across all contributors.

What You’ll OwnTechnology Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute Ribeye’s technical vision in alignment with company strategy.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that support rapid growth.
  • Own and evolve Ribeye’s canonical abstraction layer across Plan → Activate → Measure, enabling scalable multi-DSP and multi-vendor integrations without fragmenting the product layer.
  • Ensure clean separation between canonical models and vendor-specific adapters to preserve extensibility, vendor optionality, and long-term architectural integrity.
  • Build and standardize Ribeye’s interoperability layer, enabling structured and repeatable integrations with DSPs, ad servers, data providers, OMS systems, CRM platforms, and other third-party vendors.
  • Establish generic integration frameworks rather than bespoke implementations to support traditional media company workflows at scale.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in senior technical leadership.
  • Proven experience leading hybrid (in-house + outsourced) engineering teams.
  • Strong hands-on coding background with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML or LLM-driven solutions in production environments.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical complexity into business clarity.
  • High ownership mentality with bias toward action.
