About The Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data engineering projects, from designing scalable data pipelines to deploying solutions into production environments. You will work on diverse challenges, including building complex data transformations, developing probabilistic algorithms, and supporting data science initiatives. Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data engineering principles and distributed systems architecture
• Experience with Apache Spark or similar big data processing frameworks
• Proficiency in Scala and/or Java programming languages
• Solid SQL skills for data querying, analysis, and manipulation
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control, and code review
• Analytical mindset with the ability to explore data and solve complex problems
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines of varying complexity to support business and data science needs
• Create thoughtful, clean architecture solutions for new data challenges, ensuring maintainability and scalability
• Implement automated testing to ensure high-quality code and reliable systems
• Identify and fix bugs, optimize existing systems, and contribute to continuous system improvements
• Investigate and analyze data to resolve complex problems and uncover insights
• Contribute to backend services and internal tools that underpin the data infrastructure
• Deploy data solutions from concept to production, owning the process end-to-end
