About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Dimer Health. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive understanding of patient outcomes and identifying strategies to enhance them. Your primary responsibilities will include defining meaningful outcome metrics, designing and building predictive models, and extracting actionable insights from both structured and unstructured clinical data. The ideal candidate will not only focus on predicting health outcomes but will also delve into understanding their underlying causes. Collaborating closely with clinical leadership, product teams, and data infrastructure specialists, you will translate complex healthcare data into tangible improvements in patient care. Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistical analysis
- Proven experience in building predictive models using real-world healthcare data
- Proficiency in Python, including data analysis and machine learning libraries
- Strong SQL skills for exploring and extracting data from complex databases
- Experience applying modern NLP techniques, including large language models (LLMs), to unstructured text data
- Solid statistical reasoning and experience designing analytical approaches for observational data
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous problem spaces
- Effective collaboration skills with clinicians and domain experts
- Experience working with healthcare or clinical data sets
- Preferred: Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), FHIR standards, or other healthcare data models
