Who will you be working with?

Our Human Resources team plays a key role in supporting Wabtec’s talent strategy by developing and empowering the people who drive our success. At our Arteaga site, you will contribute to creating a workplace where employees can grow, feel supported, and perform at their best. At our Arteaga plant, you will be responsible for contributing to the manufacture of high-quality locomotive and mining products in a work environment where your safety is the top priority.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Coordinator for Wabtec Arteaga will support daily HR operations and help ensure a positive employee experience across the site. This role is responsible for assisting with key processes such as, labor relations, onboarding, employee development, HR compliance, and workforce support. The coordinator will collaborate with different teams to maintain accurate HR data, facilitate communication, and help implement programs, systems, and initiatives that strengthen engagement, efficiency, and overall organizational effectiveness.

What will your typical day look like?

Training and Development

  • Legal compliance in training and registration in STPS.
  • Leadership of the Joint Productivity, Training, and Development Commission.
  • Development and execution of the Annual Hourly Training Plan.
  • Management and control of the training budget.
  • Documentation, updates, tracking, and responses during legal compliance, self-management, and Quality Systems audits (ISO, AAR, EP).
  • Skills Matrix management.
  • Assurance of Welder Certification.
  • Updating, recording, and validating technical skills for job positions.
  • Evaluation of training effectiveness and improvement proposals.
  • New employee onboarding.

Operational Compensation Process Administration

  • Hourly salary progression.
  • Management of the participation process for salary categories.
  • Cost analysis and assignation.
  • Communication and documentation support.

Labor Relations and Operational Discipline

  • Monitoring absenteeism, sanctions, and corrective actions.
  • Preparation of administrative records and disciplinary documentation.
  • Support for union relations and follow-up on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Monitoring of work climate and implementation of preventive actions.
  • Management of salary and benefits modifications derived from the CBA.
  • Administration of perfect attendance bonuses, scholarships, and savings fund.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Validation of SGMM listings and policy adjustments.
  • Assurance of correct posting of payroll lists and payroll accounting files.
  • Preparation of severance and financial impact reports.
  • Accuracy audits for cost classification (COA and CC) in Tress and Workday.
  • Time On Product (TOP).

Personnel Management Systems Administration

  • Operation and administration of Workday, Tress, +Orden, Snow, First Advantage
  • Processes for hires, terminations, movements, and promotions.
  • Headcount reporting, employee classification, turnover, and absenteeism.
  • Management of payroll incidents for weekly, biweekly, and remote schemes.
  • Administration and management of vacations and medical leaves.
  • Pre‑payroll analysis and validation of disbursement files.
  • Authorization of payroll payments in electronic banking.
  • Annual payroll closing.

Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal Labor Law (LFT), STPS standards, and internal/external audits (including Quality Systems).
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday and Tress (or equivalent systems).
  • Experience with unions (desired).
  • Intermediate–advanced English proficiency.
  • Intermediate–advanced Excel skills.
