Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Manager (Platform Engineering) to lead the operational management and strategic evolution of our enterprise Data & Analytics platform built on Databricks and Microsoft Azure. This role is responsible for managing platform operations, overseeing engineering teams, ensuring platform reliability, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality data solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, platform engineering expertise, and operational management skills to support and enhance a modern data ecosystem that powers enterprise analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage the Data & Analytics Platform Engineering team, ensuring platform reliability, availability, and performance.
• Oversee the operational management of the enterprise data platform built on Databricks and Azure.
• Establish operational processes for incident management, support tickets, platform monitoring, and service delivery.
• Ensure platform stability and scalability while maintaining high availability of data services.

Azure & Databricks Platform Management

• Manage and support Databricks environments used for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of Azure data services, including compute, networking, storage, and security.
• Ensure best practices for cost optimization, governance, and performance tuning across the platform.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to implement platform improvements and modernization initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, platform engineers, and support personnel.
• Provide technical guidance, prioritize workloads, and manage team delivery against business objectives.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the data platform team and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with analytics teams, architects, and business units to support data product delivery and platform adoption.
• Communicate platform updates, risks, and operational status to leadership and stakeholders.

Governance & Best Practices

• Implement governance standards for data security, access control, and compliance.
• Define and maintain platform SLAs, operational procedures, and support frameworks.
• Drive automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code for platform management.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Data Analytics infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role leading engineering teams.
• Strong experience with Databricks platform administration and data engineering workloads.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure Data Services, Storage, Networking, Security).
• Experience managing data platforms, pipelines, and analytics environments at scale.
• Strong understanding of data platform operations, monitoring, and support processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
