Job Description

Hiring: Part-Time Unity Game Developer/Unity Generalist (Contract) – NO RECRUITERS

We're a laid-back casual games studio working on a new PC game, and we need an extra pair of hands in Unity. We’ve previously shipped VR titles such as Frenzy VR, Frenzy Extinction and Gang Warfare.

We're looking for a part-time Unity Generalist who's great at jumping around the editor, making things better, and keeping the momentum going. This isn't a deep-code-only role, it's more about being a proactive all-rounder who can polish, implement, tidy up, and just make the game feel great.

What you'd be doing (most days):

  • Setting up / organizing prefabs, GameObjects, and keeping scenes nice and clean
  • Tweaking values, configuring systems, and making existing stuff work better
  • Jumping into scripts to edit / improve when needed (no need to write everything from scratch)
  • Teaming up with AI tools like Cursor to code faster and iterate like crazy
  • Bringing in gameplay goodies: animations, SFX, particles, VFX, UI layouts
  • Spotting rough spots and proactively polishing mechanics with a creative eye
  • Helping out with whatever Unity tasks will push the game forward

You'd be a great fit if:

  • You've got solid hands-on experience in Unity (the more the better!)
  • You love making both tech and creative improvements
  • You can work independently and naturally notice "hey, this could be way nicer"
  • You're happy wearing lots of hats instead of going super deep in just one area
  • You've played around with AI coding assistants and see how they speed things up
  • You care about clean organisation and good scene hierarchy

Nice-to-haves (bonus points!):

  • Experience polishing gameplay, building levels, setting up UI/UX, animation systems, or juicy VFX/particles

The details:

  • Part-time contract (~20 hours/week, flexible)
  • 100% remote
  • Contractor/freelancer setup only

If you're the kind of person who loves jumping into a Unity project, making it better bit by bit, and being that reliable teammate who helps ship fun games, we'd love to chat!

Drop me a message here on LinkedIn, shoot over a quick note about your Unity experience and maybe a link to something you've worked on. Looking forward to hearing from you! 😄 - NO RECRUITERS
