Job Description
One of Europe's largest clothing retailers is hiring a Senior Data Engineer. 1,000+ stores across Europe and Asia, €4 billion+ in annual revenue, and a data platform that's about to get a serious upgrade.
They're building the next generation of their data lake and moving toward cloud-native tooling (Snowflake/Databricks). Technical depth matters, but so does the ability to talk to business stakeholders and translate processes into reliable data. Both will be valued equally here.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve a scalable data lake using PySpark and Python
- Partner with business teams to turn processes into clean, analysable data
- Design and operate robust pipelines with a focus on quality and business impact
- Operationalise ML pipelines alongside a team of data scientists
- Mentor teammates and contribute to high standards through code reviews
- Cloud migration experience (Snowflake or Databricks) is a strong plus

- 5+ years as a Data Engineer or similar
- Strong Python and Spark skills, solid grasp of distributed systems
- Confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders
- Nice to have familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and agile practices
- Business fluent English, German B2+
- Master's or Bachelor's in Computer Science or other relevant fields of study
