Must Have Experience in - Platform , Snowflake administration, networking, and security.

Key Requirements: -

Job Description

1. Platform Administration & Governance

RBAC Design: Implement and maintain a least-privilege Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) hierarchy. Automation of RBAC provisioning

Security: Configure Network Policies, Private Link, and Data Masking (Dynamic & Functional) to ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC2.

Governance: Manage Snowflake Objects (Databases, Schemas, Warehouses) and monitor account-level metadata for auditing.

2. Performance & Cost Optimization

Warehouse Management: Optimize Virtual Warehouse sizing and scaling policies (Auto-scale vs. Multi-cluster) to handle concurrency.

Cost Guardrails: Implement Resource Monitors and alerts to prevent "bill shock."

Query Tuning: Identify "heavy" queries using Query Profile and implement clustering keys or search optimization services where necessary.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

DevOps Integration: Use tools like Terraform to manage Snowflake resources as code.

CI/CD: Build and maintain pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for automated schema changes and data migrations.

Task Orchestration: Automate platform maintenance using Snowflake Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures (Python/SQL).

4. Environment Strategy

Zero-Copy Cloning: Utilize cloning to manage Dev, QA, and Prod environments without duplicating storage costs.

Data Sharing: Facilitate secure data sharing (Private listings) with external partners.

5. Experience on below features is plus

- Advanced SQL, Python & Performance Design

- Streamlit in Snowflake (SiS)

- Exposure to Snowflake AI cortex

Nice to have:

Snowflake advanced certification, Architecture certification (TOGAF) preferred or other Industry acknowledges

Must have exposure to tools like DBT, Databricks, AWS/Azure, Airflow.

Must have exposure to initial setup of activities, including infrastructure setup like connectivity, security policies, configuration management, Devops etc.

Experience with replication, high availability, archiving, backup & restore, and disaster recovery/business continuity data best practices.

Must be aware of relevant leading tools and data engineering concepts in industry
