Founding Software Engineer (TypeScript / Node)

We’re hiring for a world class team at a Top 10 NYC Fintech - one of the fastest growing & most innovative next-gen financial products on the North American market. They're building high-performance product systems that move real money & drive critical financial operations.

The Role

You’ll own & ship core product systems & will tackle system design, data integrity, performance, & product architecture head-on in a fast-paced startup environment. This is full production ownership - from architecture to implementation to product outcomes.

• You should have experience with:
• Building production systems in TypeScript / Node.js / JavaScript / React / SQL
• Designing backend architecture for real-world, high-reliability products
• Shipping features end-to-end in a startup or high-ownership environment
• Working on products where correctness, latency, & data integrity matter
• Strong system design fundamentals
• Ability to code live without over-reliance on AI tools
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred, AWS also fine)

Bonus:

• Payments / fintech / accounting / data-heavy / infra experience

• Early-stage startup or high technical ownership background
• Experience owning features from product idea → production

Ideal background:

• Computer Science degree from a strong university preferred
• 6+ years experience in high-performance engineering teams
• Startup experience strongly preferred
• Background at strong technical companies or early-stage startups

You’ll be expected to:

• Own product features end-to-end - design → build → ship → iterate
• Design systems that are correct, reliable, & scalable
• Work directly with founders, product & design
• Make technical decisions with real business impact
• Move fast without breaking things that matter
