Workday Application Developer | Laurel, MD | On-site | $100,000 - $245,000


We're working with a premier national research and development center tackling the world’s most critical defense and space exploration challenges on this exciting opportunity.


Join an elite technical team designing and supporting groundbreaking HRIS systems that power a workforce of world-class scientists and engineers. You will leverage the full Workday suite—including Studio, Extend, and Orchestrate—to build innovative integration solutions that drive organizational success.


The Role

• Design, develop, and deploy complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Cloud Connectors, Document Transformations, and EIBs.

• Solve high-impact functionality and integration issues by recommending and implementing technical fixes across HCM modules.

• Architect and deliver new technical solutions using Workday Extend, Orchestrate, and Prism Analytics to advance system capabilities.

• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to conduct system testing and implement configurations, custom reports, and calculated fields.

• Stay at the forefront of the ecosystem by engaging with the Workday Community to implement the latest feature updates and trends.


What You'll Need

• 4+ years of experience designing and supporting Workday HCM (Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Absence, or Onboarding).

• 2+ years of deep hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, complex EIBs, BIRT, and Core Connectors.

• Technical proficiency in XML, XSLT, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs).

• Proven ability to build "calculated fields" and custom reporting solutions to meet complex business requirements.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical Workday concepts for non-technical internal customers.

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility access.
