Job Description
🚀 Vice President, DevOps – High‑Growth Fintech Client
£150,000 + 12% bonus · Fully Remote (UK only – permanent right to work required)
Reports to EVP Technology | Senior Leadership | People Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a hyper‑growth fintech that is scaling fast and transforming a complex engineering estate. They are looking for a Vice President of DevOps who can drive strategy, uplift delivery, and build a world‑class platform function.
This is your chance to lead and shape the DevOps organisation of a company where engineering is the engine of growth.
⭐ The Opportunity
You will own the entire DevOps function: people, platform, roadmap, delivery metrics, culture, and FinOps. This isn’t a maintenance role, it’s a mid‑migration environment where your direction genuinely shifts how the company builds, ships, and runs software.
You will work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with VP‑level leaders across Engineering, Infrastructure, Technical Operations, and DBA, operating as a strategic peer, not a support service.

- Led DevOps/Platform/Infrastructure at Head‑of or VP level
- Managed senior + principal engineers
- Owned a multi‑quarter technical roadmap
- Held engineering budget responsibility (tooling, cloud, headcount)
- Built or led a FinOps practice

- You have only worked cloud‑only (no hybrid/on‑prem exposure)
- You have a Kubernetes‑only containerisation mindset
- You can’t speak to delivery metrics with clarity
