About the Role:

This client is at the early stages of its enterprise AI journey, and this role offers a rare opportunity to build foundational AI security capabilities from the ground up. As their first Senior AI Security Architect, you will play a pivotal, hands-on role in shaping how AI is designed, secured, deployed, and governed across the organization. This is an engineering-focused position not a consulting role—where you will architect and implement AI security capabilities within the security organization while partnering closely with their AI Center of Excellence and Security Center of Excellence to ensure AI systems are secure, compliant, and production-ready. You will have significant influence over tooling decisions, architecture standards, threat models, and long-term strategy as they define and scale its enterprise AI security program. The Senior AI Security Architect is part of the Information Security Offensive Security team and reports to the Director of Offensive Security. In this role, you will focus on securing generative AI solutions across the enterprise, embedding security throughout the AI lifecycle and addressing risks unique to AI and machine learning systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement secure AI systems across their security portfolio.
• Build, integrate, deploy, operate, and support enterprise AI and generative AI solutions.
• Embed AI capabilities into existing and future security tools and services to improve efficiency, automation, and threat detection.
• Partner closely with the AI Center of Excellence to ensure security, compliance, and governance are built into AI solutions from inception.

• Define secure AI architecture standards, patterns, and blueprints.
• Ensure AI systems meet regulatory, compliance, and ethical AI requirements.
• Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams to operationalize AI securely at scale.
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for AI systems, including model misuse, data exposure, hallucinations, and adversarial threats.
• Serve as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor on AI security across the organization.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on relevant experience in the AI/ ML Space in enterprise level organizations – ideal candidate has built a practice from the ground up
• Expertise in designing, training, deploying, and maintaining AI and generative AI models in enterprise environments.

• Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure cloud computing security configuration and management
• Strong understanding of model lifecycle management: training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Experience deploying and operationalizing open-source and/or proprietary AI models.
• Deep knowledge of vector embeddings, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and model behavior.
• Ability to clearly explain model performance, hallucinations, predictive vs. non-deterministic behavior, and risk tradeoffs.
• Experience with autonomous agents, human-in-the-loop systems, and context protocols.
• Experience with threat modeling, threat intelligence, and secure system design.
• Proven ability to secure AI pipelines, data, models, and inference endpoints.
• Experience integrating internally developed AI solutions into enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft/Azure AI services and tooling (They are a Microsoft shop).
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, model governance, and adversarial AI/ML
