Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure)

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) who is passionate about building scalable software and modernizing enterprise systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications used across our financial platform. Working in an Agile Scrum team, you will contribute to the modernization of our systems as we continue our transition to Azure and a DevOps-driven way of working.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise software applications
• Contribute to the redesign and refactoring of legacy systems

• Implement scalable and maintainable backend services using .NET and C#
• Apply modern software architecture principles such as event-driven solutions and clean architecture
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Support CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering practices

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• University-level thinking and working level

• At least 8+ years of experience as a software developer in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in .NET and C# development
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
• Knowledge of software architecture principles and event-driven systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Experience in the financial services sector is a strong advantage
