AI Engineer Intern (Generative AI / LLM)

Purplemerit is hiring an AI Engineer Intern to build real-world LLM applications and AI agents. This is a paid, remote internship for candidates who can learn fast, ship working prototypes, and understand how to make AI systems reliable in practice.

Internship Details

• Role: AI Engineer Intern (Generative AI / LLM)
• Mode: 100% Remote
• Stipend: ₹10,000/month (Paid Internship)
• Duration: Choose 3 months or 6 months
• Joining: Immediate joiners preferred

• Real experience building agentic AI features end-to-end

What You’ll Do

• Build AI agents (single and multi-agent workflows) using LangChain and CrewAI
• Implement RAG pipelines using LlamaIndex (document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking)
• Integrate and orchestrate LLMs via APIs / open-source models with structured outputs and tool calling

• Work on fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA or similar) including dataset preparation and evaluation
• Improve quality with prompting strategies, tracing, testing, and evaluation of agent + RAG performance
• Collaborate remotely with clear documentation and demo-ready deliverables

Requirements (Must Have)

• Strong Python fundamentals and comfort working with APIs
• Hands-on experience with LangChain
• Experience with CrewAI and building agentic workflows
• Practical knowledge of LlamaIndex for RAG
• Understanding of model fine-tuning workflows and when to use them

Good to Have (Plus)

• Vector DBs: FAISS / Chroma / Pinecone / Weaviate
• Hugging Face ecosystem, transformers, tokenizers, training loops
