Job Description
Join a pioneering team as a Commissioning Manager-Analytics, dedicated to one of the world’s largest Battery Energy Storage System Developers. Your primary responsibilities include conducting plant testing, performance evaluations, GIA/PPA testing, and the startup of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solar Coupled Power systems. As the Owner’s representative, you will oversee compliance, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing aspects of the energy storage system.
Responsibilities
- Participate in safety programs and audits.
- Support PPA Testing with customers.
- Assist with GIA Testing alongside the Transmission Operator.
- Manage test energy forecasts with customers.
- Collaborate with the ICCP IT SCADA Team and SCADA PM/Lead for functional checks.
- Work with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project Manager to develop a commissioning schedule based on mechanical completion.
- Execute site acceptance testing with SCADA integrator and Commissioning Manager.
- Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout including alarm checks.
- Perform OEM Testing and Plant Balancing.
- Conduct Capacity Testing and notification of AVR/AGC support.
- Review performance data for any deficiencies.
- Thorough understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup.
- Proficiency in the commissioning process creation.
- In-depth knowledge of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, and combiners.
- Expertise in DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV).
- Experience with control and SCADA systems troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with third parties and executives.
- Capability to effectively organize and strategize schedules and plans.

- Experience in engineering or professional electrical career in power systems construction and startup.
- Experience with a minimum of 100MW-hr or 5 energy storage systems in commissioning.
- Experience with BESS is mandatory.
- Proficiency with SCADA systems is preferred.
This role requires up to 25% travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes. The remaining work is primarily remote, focusing on support through SCADA monitoring. Candidates must be able to operate a motor vehicle for commuting between two working locations.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
