TEAM OVERVIEW:

The intern will join the Applied Materials Global Services (AGS) M&A/NBD team. The team identifies, evaluates, and develops growth opportunities - including new markets, technologies, partnerships, and potential investments—to support AGS strategic objectives.

The intern will work cross‑functionally with groups such as Product Management, Business Development, Engineering, Finance, and Sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and compile market data
  • Analyze market, technology, and competitive trends
  • Support evaluation of growth opportunities
  • Assist in creating business cases and presentations
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excel, PowerPoint
  • Data analysis coursework
  • Market research familiarity
  • Tableau/Power BI exposure a plus

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION:

  • Students working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM fields, Economics, Business, or Marketing are eligible, including those pursuing an MBA.
  • GPA 3.0 or above preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
