Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Design Systems Designer โ to lead the evolution, adoption, and governance of our design system across products and platforms. You will collaborate with product designers, engineers, accessibility experts, and brand stakeholders to deliver a scalable, inclusive, and consistent design language that accelerates product development while raising the bar on quality.
Youโll become an part of Haufe - an important part. What is Haufe? Weโve asked to one of our employees to describe us: โโWeโre all about teamwork. We really find the best possible ways to combine the skills and talent in this office to create digital workplace solutions that weโre proud to show off. And we want to be specialists in what we do, each and every one of us.โโ
At Haufe, youโll find the ambition and drive of a startup, but with the solid foundation of the leader in organizational development in the DACH market that we are, with +2,600 people working for us.
Our Location & Remote Policy๏ธ
Being based in Barcelona or the surrounding areas is required. If youโre not currently located here but are open to relocating, please let us know; weโll be happy to support you through the process.
We value both focused individual work and the energy that comes from being together. Thatโs why we keep office time intentional and designed around real collaboration.
Our hybrid policy requires just 12 days per quarter in our office (Sant Martรญ district) with your team. These arenโt badge-swipe appearances. Theyโre for the good stuff: planning, pairing, sketching ideas on whiteboards, making big decisions, and having the kinds of conversations that work better face to face.
We genuinely like being together. But when you need uninterrupted focus time at home, thatโs respected too.
Beyond the quarterly minimum, we trust you. If you and your teammates feel extra face-to-face time will unblock a complex problem, power a workshop, or make pair programming more effective, go for it.
No arbitrary rules. Just professional judgment and strong teamwork.
And because life doesnโt run on a quarterly cadenceโฆ
You also get up to 8 weeks per year of fully remote work from anywhere.
Spend extended time with family, escape the winter, explore a new location, or simply enjoy a longer period without commuting.
We designed this model to give you the best of both worlds: the flexibility to work where youโre most productive, and the connection that comes from regularly spending time with a team you enjoy working with.
What you can expect:
- Design & Develop: Create, refine, and maintain UI components, patterns, and tokens to ensure usability, scalability, and accessibility.
- System Thinking: Translate brand guidelines, interaction models, and user needs into reusable, flexible system elements.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineers to implement components, ensuring parity across design and code.
- Advocacy & Adoption: Champion the design system internally, driving adoption, documentation, and training for designers and developers.
- Accessibility & Inclusivity: Embed accessibility best practices into every component and pattern.
- Governance: Contribute to guidelines, processes, and tooling that ensure the system evolves sustainably and consistently.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor other designers in leveraging the system effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps and opportunities for innovation in the system based on user feedback, analytics, and industry trends.
