We are seeking a highly skilled Atlassian Jira & Confluence Specialist to join a dynamic UK-based organisation driving digital transformation and agile excellence. This pivotal role supports enterprise-level users by optimising Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence to align with Agile practices and business objectives.

This role requires relocation to Spain.

Jira Administration & Configuration

  • Configure, maintain, and optimise Jira Software and Jira Service Management environments
  • Design complex workflows, permission schemes, screen configurations, and issue types
  • Create advanced automation rules to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
  • Manage integrations with CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, and ITSM platforms
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, security, and stability

Confluence Management & Optimisation

  • Administer Confluence spaces, permissions, templates, and content structures
  • Promote standardised documentation through reusable templates and governance
  • Ensure high-quality, accessible, and consistent knowledge management practices
  • Lead efforts to structure Confluence content aligned with business needs

Consulting, Support & Training

  • Act as a trusted advisor for Agile, product, and IT teams on Jira and Confluence best practices
  • Deliver workshops, user training, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Resolve escalated configuration issues and complex incidents
  • Support teams in aligning Atlassian tools with Agile and ITSM frameworks

Automation, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish governance models and enforce platform standards and best practices
  • Manage and optimise Atlassian Marketplace apps such as:
  • X-Ray for test management
  • ScriptRunner for advanced automation
  • Insight/Assets for CMDB and asset management
  • Automation for Jira, BigPicture, and other planning tools
  • Collaborate with compliance, security, and enterprise architecture teams

Emerging Capabilities & AI Integration

  • Explore and propose opportunities using Atlassian Rovo and AI-driven features
  • Leverage intelligent automation and documentation tools to drive productivity
  • Continuously scan for innovations to improve user experience and reduce overhead

Qualifications and Experience

Education & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience administering Jira and Confluence in enterprise environments
  • Experience working in regulated industries (finance, telecom, insurance, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SAFe, and digital transformation initiatives

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Jira configuration including workflows, schemes, and automation
  • Deep understanding of Confluence administration and content structures
  • Experience with key apps: X-Ray, ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, Insight
  • Comfortable working with Atlassian Cloud and/or Data Center deployments
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous

  • Willing to relocate to Spain
