About The Role
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Security Program Manager for a fully remote, six-month contract-to-hire position based out of Denver, CO. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and execute enterprise-wide security initiatives that align with the company's mission to operate securely, protect assets, and preserve shareholder value. The Security Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple strategic security programs and projects, ensuring effective collaboration across various teams and stakeholders.
The Security Program Manager will work closely with senior management, internal teams, and external partners to ensure security initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The position demands a proactive approach to risk management, compliance, and regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, and others, ensuring the organization maintains a robust security posture.
In addition to technical expertise, the role emphasizes leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive a results-oriented, collaborative, and innovative security environment. The manager will be instrumental in shaping security strategies, enhancing operational efficiencies, and supporting the organization’s overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security program and project management within a large enterprise environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC, HIPAA, etc.)
- Experience with regulatory compliance and risk assessment audits
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic security initiatives
- Project management certification such as PMP or equivalent
- Experience with security architecture and network infrastructure
- Familiarity with GRC software and security data analysis tools
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, multi-disciplinary team environment

- Fully own the mission, goals, operations, and results of the security program group, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives

- Promote a positive, results-driven organizational culture emphasizing collaboration, transparency, and innovation
- Participate in strategic planning, infrastructure planning, and enterprise roadmap sessions to align security initiatives with business goals
- Ensure operational excellence by monitoring performance metrics, conducting audits, and implementing system improvements
