Job Description

Principal Cybersecurity Analyst | Sunnyvale, CA

We're working with a global leader in aerospace and defense technology that has pioneered everything from the moon landing to stealth bombers on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a mission-driven Cybersecurity expert to secure classified systems that impact national security and redefine what is possible in the multi-domain defense landscape.

In this role, you will be the frontline defender of critical networks, leveraging RMF frameworks and vulnerability assessment tools to mitigate risk across complex enclaves. This is a chance to join a team that thrives on intellectual curiosity and works on cutting-edge systems where there is no room for error.

The Role

  • Lead comprehensive system assessments and vulnerability audits using tools like ACAS, Nessus, and Splunk to identify and remediate network deviations.
  • Establish and manage program control processes to secure Authorization to Operate (ATO) for high-stakes classified systems.
  • Author and maintain critical security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Implement government security policies such as NISPOM and ICD 503, providing expert recommendations on process tailoring and risk mitigation.
  • Support formal System Assessments through pre-test preparations, results analysis, and direct coordination with government authorizing authorities.

What You'll Need

  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance (investigation within the last 6 years) and the ability to obtain SAP/SAR access.
  • A current DoD 8570 IAM Level II or higher certification (CISSP, CISM, CASP+, or CGRC).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Technical proficiency with SCAP, NIST standards, and DIACAP in a classified system environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems (preferred) or equivalent veteran/industry experience.

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary range of $114,000 - $171,000 with additional performance bonus eligibility.
  • Flexible 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off to ensure a true work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including top-tier healthcare, a robust 401k match, and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
  • A collaborative culture with active Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and high-level exposure to industry thought leaders.
