Principal Cybersecurity Analyst | Sunnyvale, CA
We're working with a global leader in aerospace and defense technology that has pioneered everything from the moon landing to stealth bombers on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a mission-driven Cybersecurity expert to secure classified systems that impact national security and redefine what is possible in the multi-domain defense landscape.
In this role, you will be the frontline defender of critical networks, leveraging RMF frameworks and vulnerability assessment tools to mitigate risk across complex enclaves. The Role
- Lead comprehensive system assessments and vulnerability audits using tools like ACAS, Nessus, and Splunk to identify and remediate network deviations.
- Establish and manage program control processes to secure Authorization to Operate (ATO) for high-stakes classified systems.
- Author and maintain critical security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Implement government security policies such as NISPOM and ICD 503, providing expert recommendations on process tailoring and risk mitigation.
- Support formal System Assessments through pre-test preparations, results analysis, and direct coordination with government authorizing authorities.

- An active DoD Top Secret clearance (investigation within the last 6 years) and the ability to obtain SAP/SAR access.
- A current DoD 8570 IAM Level II or higher certification (CISSP, CISM, CASP+, or CGRC).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Technical proficiency with SCAP, NIST standards, and DIACAP in a classified system environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems (preferred) or equivalent veteran/industry experience.
