Job Title: Kubernetes Engineer (Azure AKS)
Location: Remote, US-based
Type: 6-month Contract to Hire
Overview
We’re supporting a technology‑driven organization seeking a Kubernetes Engineer with strong Azure AKS experience and a security‑focused mindset. This person will play a key role in securing AKS deployments, supporting proprietary application rollouts, and partnering closely with IT and cloud teams.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to own Kubernetes security across the enterprise.

- Networking & troubleshooting across cloud/IT environments
- Support the deployment and operation of proprietary applications running on AKS
- Monitor AKS clusters for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security gaps
- Design and support cyber security infrastructure across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Engineer and secure Kubernetes platforms in Azure (AKS) and AWS (EKS)
- Harden container images and workloads using secure build practices, scanning, and runtime protection
- Troubleshoot cluster, node, networking, and workload‑level issues
- Integrate Kubernetes and security telemetry into enterprise SIEM tools
- Respond to and remediate security alerts, incidents, and platform vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and DevOps teams to define and implement security architecture
- Maintain runbooks, standards, security documentation, and operational procedures
- Participate in lifecycle management, change control, and on‑call rotations
- Produce dashboards, reports, and metrics for technical and leadership audiences
- Mentor teammates and contribute to security maturity initiatives

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $105.00/hr.
