Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Test Pilot to join our Raytheon Flight Test Operations (FTO) team. This role is responsible for supporting multiple functions in the planning and execution of manned flight test missions. Responsibilities include coordination with engineering and maintenance, subject matter expertise on our flight test planning, mission execution, flight operations support, and coordinating logistics for flight test deployments. This position is an onsite role and can be based in either Ontario, California or Tucson, Arizona with occasional travel to support Raytheon Flight Test Operations.

- Plan and coordinate flight test missions involving military ranges and FAA airspace.
- Conduct internal flight test readiness evaluations and coordinate customer airworthiness audits.
- Lead mission planning, coordination briefings, and contribute to test reporting.
- Coordinate aircraft maintenance activities and liaison with subcontracted support team.
- Qualify and maintain currency for Raytheon FTO test aircraft, including CL601, and C206 as a test pilot crew member.
- Perform work in classified and SAP environments.
- Augment the aircraft maintenance team with FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative certification and Airframe & Powerplant, Inspection Authorization responsibilities.
- Travel up to 20% to support flight test deployments or technical interchange meetings. Typical travel sites include Ontario, CA; Tucson, AZ; Eglin AFB, FL; and short duration travel for CONUS and OCONUS flight test deployments in support of RTX programs
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years flight test experience.
- Flight test experience required within the last 10 years.
- Commercial Pilot Certificate and ability to hold an FAA First Class medical and Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
- 2,000 hours pilot time with a minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC). Applicants must also have 1,500 turbine experience with multi-engine turbine experience desired.

- Graduate of military Test Pilot School, Weapons School, equivalent formal course.
- Possess 3+ years of operational or developmental flight-test experience.
- Advanced flying qualifications including Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner.
- Experience with large (>12.5K lbs) multi-engine turbine aircraft with onboard Mission Crew or tactical fighter test pilot experience.
- Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Experience leading a flight operations sub-organization or aircraft maintenance team.
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Hold an FAA airframe & Powerplant, Inspection authorization
- Experience with FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative certification duties
- Experience working classified and SAP programs.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
