Gray Swan protects organizations from emerging AI security threats. We build real-time threat detection, automated validation, and adaptive defenses for AI labs and enterprises. We’re a team of ~25 people, well-funded, and growing fast.
We have strong traction and globally recognized customers, which means employees here take on real responsibility and meaningful equity from day one. This is a high-ownership environment where you’ll work on hard problems, move quickly, and help shape both the product and the company.
Many people join Gray Swan because our mission matters. We’re doing practical, high-impact work in AI safety, that sense of purpose is a core reason why engineers and researchers choose us.
Learn More About How We Work
The Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our small but mighty design team. You’ll work closely with our UX Lead and other designers across both our enterprise AI Security Suite and Gray Swan Arena. From collaborating with ML, Dev, and GTM teams to translating complex technical workflows into clear, trustworthy, and refined product experiences, you’ll help shape how AI systems are tested, monitored, and secured.
This is a high ownership role. We care deeply about craft, but just as much about initiative. We’re looking for someone who can take a problem, run with it, collaborate cross functionally, and push the work to a high standard without waiting to be told what to do.
Applicants must be based in Pittsburgh or willing to relocate.
What You’ll Do
- Design and improve Gray Swan’s UI across web and mobile platforms
- Own your work from end-to-end, from early concept sketches to production-ready specs
- Translate complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive user experiences
- Build and maintain UI components, patterns, and visual standards in our design system
- Collaborate with product, engineering, ML research, and GTM teams on cross-functional work
- Contribute to ad hoc design needs as they arise: we all wear a few extra hats here!
