Back End Developer — .NET / C# NetLaw · Remote · Full-time

NetLaw powers online estate planning for Hargrove Firm LLP — a platform purpose-built for the financial services industry. Financial advisors across the US use our system to connect clients with licensed attorneys for quality estate planning, delivered intelligently at scale. We are backed by institutional investors, and grew 4x last year.

Our engineering team is based in Croatia, led by a CTO with 10+ years at the company. We ship fast, build clean, and solve real problems. We're looking for someone who does the same.

Who we're looking for

A developer who writes fast, clean, and accurate code — not one or two of those, all three. You understand modern .NET inside out, you pick things up quickly, and you don't need hand-holding. You care about code quality not because someone told you to, but because messy code bothers you.

You're ambitious. You want to be part of something that's scaling, not maintaining. We've built serious infrastructure already — now we need sharp people to help us push it further.

What you'll work with

• C# / .NET (latest) — microservices, minimal APIs, async patterns

• Entity Framework Core — complex data modeling, efficient queries, real-world business logic
• SQL Server — migrations, stored procedures, query optimization
• Azure — App Services, VNets, Gateways, cloud security fundamentals
• Message brokers (RabbitMQ / Azure Service Bus) — pub/sub, event-driven architecture
• WebSockets & webhooks for real-time communication
• Git, code reviews, and collaborative workflows
• JavaScript (ES6+) familiarity is a plus

• You handle error logging and validation like a professional, not an afterthought
• You can read existing patterns and extend them without breaking things
• You communicate clearly and take ownership of your work
