Senior Software Engineer (C) – Permanent, On-Site / Hybrid options

We are supporting a forward-thinking organisation in Sweden within the aerospace and advanced engineering sector. They are expanding their software capability and investing in high-performance, safety-critical systems. You will join a growing engineering team and take ownership of designing, developing and maintaining core software components used in complex, real-world systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and maintaining software in C for performance-critical and safety-relevant systems
• Contributing to system architecture and low-level design decisions
• Working closely with hardware, systems and verification teams
• Ensuring code quality, robustness, testability and compliance with relevant standards
• Supporting integration, debugging and performance optimisation

Experience profile:

• Strong professional experience with C (or C/C++) in embedded or high-performance environments
• Background in aerospace, defence, automotive, robotics or other safety-critical domains is highly valued
• Experience working close to hardware, RTOS or embedded Linux environments
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD and structured development processes
• Understanding of software quality standards and documentation in regulated environments
