About the Role


We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing (Client Facing) to consult with our growing number of clients.The right candidate will advise on marketing strategy for  investors, CEOs, CMOs, and revenue leaders. You’ll also get to be part of an amazing team of talented marketers.


What You’ll Do
  • Lead our marketing audit & strategy engagements for SaaS clients. You’ll lead the marketing strategy recommendations end-to-end, including paid media, content, SEO/AEO, product marketing, ABM, reporting and budget. 
  • Lead an internal group of marketers with expertise in various focus areas including content, paid media, etc. You’ll work together to come up with effective marketing strategies for clients. 
  • Own and manage client relationships. You’ll be acting as an Account Manager for each client engagement. You’ll work closely with our client’s marketing team, lead all aspects of client engagements (including moderating calls and discussions, organizing the team internally to meet deadlines, etc.), and act as their go-to person during the engagement.
  • Work with the internal How to SaaS team to audit all aspects of our clients’ marketing organization, including their team, programs, financials, tech stack, funnel metrics, etc. 
  • Present findings, strategies and recommendations to clients on a regular basis. 
  • Build and evolve full-funnel marketing strategies for clients, aligning marketing to overall revenue targets


What We’re Looking For
  • A senior SaaS marketing leader with 5-8 years of experience. You’re able to develop the right marketing strategy for different client situations. In other words, each client is unique and you’ll have to be flexible in your thinking and approach. This is the kind of challenge you like, as opposed to settling for the same old same old.
  • Well-rounded: You have experience in several core areas of SaaS marketing, including demand generation, content marketing, SEO, events, webinars, brand/comms/PR, etc. 
  • A data lover: You want to understand high level SaaS business metrics and unit economics, and marketing’s contribution to them.
  • Technical: You’ve worked with various martech platforms including Hubspot/Marketo/Pardot, Salesforce, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, and SEO tools (Moz, AHrefs, etc).
  • Super analytical: You have the expertise and a track record for defining, implementing, and optimizing lead management processes, demand waterfall frameworks, financial models, and related reporting and analytics.
  • Highly organized: You’re able to manage several clients with competing priorities and deadlines.  
  • People person: You can build rapport with clients, and bring an internal team together to accomplish our mission.
