My client is seeking a Senior Perception Engineer to advance the capabilities of a world-leading autonomous logistics network. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area but with the option to work fully remote, you will develop the vision systems that allow a global fleet of autonomous vehicles to navigate complex, dynamic environments safely and efficiently.

Salary & Benefits

• Base salary for this role is $180,000 - $270,000 DoE.
• Total comp also includes equity, performance bonuses, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.

The company is a pioneer in large-scale autonomous navigation and transportation. They focus on solving complex global access challenges through a sophisticated fleet of robots, operating one of the most advanced autonomous systems currently in commercial use.

The role

In this position, you will design and deploy algorithms to detect and track obstacles using monocular and multi-view camera systems. Your work will combine deep learning with geometric vision to achieve 3D situational awareness at scale. You will own the full development lifecycle - from building scalable training pipelines to performing root-cause analysis on field data - ensuring the perception stack leads the industry in safety and reliability.

The essential requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience crafting perception systems for autonomous robots or vehicles.
• Expertise in state-of-the-art Deep Learning models for object detection and tracking.
• Advanced knowledge of geometric computer vision (stereo vision, SfM, visual odometry).
• A proven track record of deploying autonomous systems into real-world, commercial environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python or C++ within an engineering environment.
