Role: Security Engineer II

Position: 100% Remote

Duration: Long Term

Note: W2 contract

Job Summary:

Security Engineer II is responsible for maintaining a secure enterprise computing environment by implementing, supporting, and monitoring security systems, policies, and controls across Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile platforms. The role supports endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response, and third-party patching while collaborating with IT teams to reduce security risks and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and support enterprise security tools and endpoint protection solutions
• Manage vulnerability scanning, patching, and risk mitigation across operating systems
• Monitor system logs, investigate security incidents, and support incident response activities
• Assist with security reviews of applications, endpoint health checks, and remediation
• Support emerging technologies and mobile platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Linux)
• Develop and analyze security metrics and performance reports
• Participate in on-call security support rotations

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in security engineering or technical security support

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CISSP or equivalent certification preferred
