About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join our client's Data & Analytics Engineering team on a freelance basis. This role is pivotal in shaping the end-to-end user experience for complex, data-rich enterprise products, specifically within an insights marketplace and analytics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will own the UX design process from discovery to delivery, working closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create intuitive, scalable, and consistent interfaces that facilitate decision-making at all organizational levels. This is a fully remote position requiring alignment with core PST working hours, with an immediate start and a project duration through June 30, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX or UI/UX design for enterprise-scale digital products
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, variants, and design system workflows
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing complex multi-feature projects from concept to development
  • Deep understanding of UX fundamentals such as user flows, interaction design, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations and coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
  • Comfort working in Agile environments, collaborating closely with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong visual design skills with an understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, and brand consistency
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience designing mobile-first interfaces, especially for leadership and executive personas

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate business and technical requirements into clear UX flows, interaction patterns, and UI designs
  • Lead UX activities for large, multi-squad initiatives, including discovery sessions, journey mapping, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping
  • Design and iterate on low- to high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma, ensuring alignment with established design standards and brand guidelines
  • Create and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and interaction guidelines tailored to data and analytics experiences
  • Partner with engineering teams to validate design feasibility, clarify UX specifications, and ensure high-quality implementation
  • Develop role-based, personalized UX flows for various user personas such as analysts, business users, and executives, emphasizing usability and clarity in data-heavy contexts
  • Design responsive, mobile-first experiences optimized for quick insight consumption and decision support for leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Support user validation activities, including usability reviews, feedback sessions, and internal testing, incorporating insights into iterative design improvements
  • Ensure UX consistency and coherence across multiple features, squads, and touchpoints within the insights marketplace ecosystem
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives as an embedded UX partner
  • Contribute to defining and tracking UX success metrics like engagement, adoption, satisfaction, and task completion for shipped experiences
