Position Summary
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is seeking an Associate Vice President, Product & Engineering. This position may be performed anywhere in the United States and will be fully remote. The AVP will provide architectural expertise across all layers of the application. This role will lead the software development team to support short/long-term foundation objectives and to assume end-to-end technical and platform/s ownership.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project management, team members, and research team (onshore and offshore) to design, plan, and develop new platforms/products and product enhancements in an agile environment.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and own the technology debt backlog.
- Develop, monitor, maintain, and improve key processes crucial to the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Develop an efficient study site onboarding process by introducing healthcare interoperability methodology and deploying interface development tools and frameworks.

Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in healthcare software product development.
- 2 years of experience in web-based or cloud-based technologies or Software as a Service (SaaS), such as AWS, Data Lakes, and usage of terminologies including NCPDP, SNOMED-CT, and RxNorm.
- 5 years of experience in using clinical data and interoperability standards such as HL7, CCDA, and X12 standards, database management systems including SQL, Oracle, or data modeling tools, REST APIs, and Java or Python.
