Principal Product Manager for Observability at Dash0

About the Role

Our client, Dash0, is a fast-growing, venture-backed observability company built natively on open standards like Open Telemetry and Prometheus. Dash0 is redefining how developers experience observability by eliminating vendor lock-in, reducing cost unpredictability, and simplifying modern monitoring stacks.

Dash0 is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead one of its most strategic product initiatives. This role owns the zero-to-one and one-to-scale journey for foundational offerings and has full accountability for product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive continuous product discovery through customer interviews and qualitative research
• Define product strategy, roadmap, and priorities with executive stakeholders
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from idea to launch and iteration
• Advocate for customer needs within the observability ecosystem
• Measure success using clearly defined KPIs and outcome-based metrics
• Lead cross-functional teams through influence, clarity, and execution
• Mentor and guide other Product Managers

Required Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of observability and open-source ecosystems (Open Telemetry, Prometheus)
• Hands-on experience operating non-trivial software systems
• Strong data analysis and analytics tooling experience
• Excellent communication with technical and executive stakeholders
• Proven ownership of product KPIs and business outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to work CET time zone hours

Nice to Have

• Experience building 0→1 products or major platform expansions
• Background in AI/ML product management
• Experience in a high-growth start-up environment
