We are seeking a Principal React Native Developer to contribute to the authentication interfaces on our mobile and web platforms. In this role, you will be expected to provide architectural and user experience feedback, implement features as designed, and develop shared packages and features that would be consumed by other teams with a focus on security and stability.

You will be a hands-on contributor to the mobile and web authentication architecture, contributing to features that span across multiple platforms and lines of business.

The Work Itself

Authentication Development & Strategy

  • Implement and maintain authentication features by using or developing shared components, integrating SDKs, and leveraging operating system provided tooling (Biometrics, Passcode)
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to inform direction, architecture decisions, and adoption of modern React Native capabilities (TurboModules, Fabric)
  • Ensure consistency, performance, and maintainability across the app and shared modules

Cross-Team Enablement

  • Support other product teams in leveraging authentication features to enable API access and appropriate access levels for sensitive features and maintaining authenticated state throughout the user experience
  • Create and maintain documentation for the implementation and integration of reusable authentication patterns
  • Write high-quality, production-ready code that balances maintainability, performance, and scalability

Skills

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field(s) of study or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years working with React or React Native in production environments.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React patterns.
  • Experience using extensible component libraries to build out features to designed specifications.
  • Comfortable contributing to architectural discussions.
  • Experience with modularization strategies in large applications.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Maestro).
  • Performance optimization and observability in mobile and web applications.
  • Experience supporting multiple product teams via shared mobile infrastructure and internal NPM packages.
  • Strong collaborator and contributor in technical documentation.
  • Systems thinker with attention to maintainability and scalability.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
