About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Offboard Embodied AI to join our innovative team in Mountain View, California. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Mountain View Technical Center at least three times per week. As a key member of our AI and ML research division, you will lead the development and deployment of large-scale Foundation Models (FMs) that enhance our autonomous driving and robotics technologies. Your expertise will drive advancements in L2, L3, and L4 autonomous applications, directly impacting the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our automotive solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, robotics engineers, and software developers, to translate cutting-edge AI research into real-world automotive innovations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of mobility through innovative AI models and contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with large-scale Foundation Models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and vision-focused models.
- Proficiency in AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with libraries like HuggingFace and OpenAI GPT.
- Strong data processing skills utilizing tools like Numpy, Pandas, and Apache Spark.
- Hands-on experience deploying foundation models into production environments.
- Previous experience in Robotics or Autonomous Driving industries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Design, develop, and implement large-scale Foundation Models tailored for automotive and robotics applications.
