Senior Data Architect

A data architect designs and builds data models to fulfil the strategic data needs of the Agentic Foundation organization.

Individuals in this role will:

• Design, support and provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommission and archive of data in compliance with data policy
• Define and maintain the data technology architecture, including metadata, integration and business intelligence or data warehouse architecture
• Work with other architects and engineers to make sure that an organization's systems are designed in accordance with the appropriate data architecture
  
  

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

Data Architecture Strategy

• Define the overall data architecture for Agentic Foundation, including data products, pipelines, and governance.
• Establish standards for data modeling, metadata, lineage, and interoperability.
• Explain the strategic context of the work being performed and why it is important
• Support strategic planning in an administrative capacity
  
  

Data Product Design

• Design reusable, discoverable, and governed data products for AI agents.
• Ensure data products are self-describing, secure, and API-accessible.
• Design data architecture by dealing with specific business problems and aligning it to enterprise-wide standards, principles, and the enterprise data catalog
• Work within the context of well understood architecture, and identify appropriate patterns
  
  

Platform & Integration

• Architect data platforms leveraging cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Integrate with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g. Azure AI Foundry, LangChain).
  
  

Governance & Compliance

• Implement data governance policies for security, privacy, and compliance.
• Define versioning and observability for data assets.

• Take responsibility for the assurance of data solutions and make recommendations to ensure compliance
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with AI engineers, product owners, and domain experts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering's.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Be an advocate for the team externally, and can manage differing perspectives
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and agentic architectures
• Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms
• In-depth knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
• Understanding of data security principles and practices
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  
  

Preferred

• Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Certified, AWS Certified, Azure Certified)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of data professionals
• Ability to align data architecture with business objectives
• Strong decision-making skills
