Azure Engineer

Position: Azure Engineer - Fully remote

Location: Belgium based only

Duration: 6 months extendable contract

Daily rate: Best Market price

Operational Responsibilities- Provide Azure operational support and manage follow‑up on tickets created in the Multi‑Cloud ServiceNow queue, including:

• Entra ID app registrations (e.g., granting API permissions)
• IAM activities (configuring access and security on Azure resources)
• Azure services support (guidance on new implementations and best practices)

• Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible)
• Network integrations (private endpoints, VNet integrations, VNets and subnets)

· Monitor Azure service retirements using the Azure Services Retirement Workbook.

· Track Azure Service Health, including both Health and Security Advisories.

· Approve new Azure Resource Groups through the IDP Portal.

· Perform monthly FinOps reviews, including:

• Cost analysis and follow‑up using the Azure Cost Optimization Workbook and the Azure Orphaned Resources v3.0 workbook.

· Strengthen security posture management, including:

• Reviewing and remediating Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations
• Addressing security misconfigurations and vulnerabilities identified through Rapid7

· Monitor Azure Policy compliance and ensure timely remediation.

· Centralize public cloud resources (excluding Protime) under the Enterprise‑Scale Landing Zone (ESLZ).

· Automate security recommendations and support tasks through scripts, runbooks, and tooling wherever possible.
