The Role: Technical Lead (Hands-On)

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone with deep full-stack breadth and strong architectural judgment.

You will help define and build:

iOS App (Swift)

Android App (Kotlin)

Web App (React)

Backend Platform (Python + FastAPI, Postgres, AWS)

You will set engineering standards, guide architectural decisions, and lead the delivery of a high-performance, secure, and compliant financial product handling real-money movement at international scale.

This role includes close collaboration with product, design, and operations, and direct partnership with the founders. As the company scales, this role may expand into broader engineering leadership across platforms.

What You’ll Own

Technical architecture across mobile, web, and backend systems

Engineering standards and best practices

Security, compliance, and reliability at scale

Real-money financial infrastructure with strict latency and integrity constraints

Mentorship and growth of engineering team members

Cross-functional execution across product and operations

Required Experience

7–10 years building and shipping consumer-facing mobile and/or web applications

Strong full-stack exposure (React/TypeScript, Python, Go/Rust, Postgres, AWS, CI/CD)

Experience at banking, credit card, crypto, remittance, or lending startups

Deep familiarity with:

Anti-Fraud systems

AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

Ledgering systems

Payments orchestration

Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and making architectural decisions

Strongly Preferred

Experience building for Latin American markets

Background in financial technology

Strong systems thinking and product design instincts

Experience with international money movement infrastructure
