Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Data Engineer to support the build-out of a centralized security data lake within a growing Cyber organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong cybersecurity background who is equally comfortable working with scripting, databases, and AWS infrastructure. The primary focus will be designing and building data ingestion pipelines and structured datasets that consolidate multiple security platforms into a single, unified environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines for security tools
• Writing scripts (Python preferred) to pull, transform, and normalize data
• Building and managing SQL-based data structures
• Supporting AWS infrastructure for secure, scalable data storage
• Working with relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred)
• Integrating multiple security platforms into centralized datasets
• Validating and documenting data fields and structures

• Collaborating with security, cloud, and network teams
• Contributing to architecture decisions around cyber and cloud infrastructure

Required Experience

• 6+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, or infrastructure security
• Strong scripting skills (Python required; JavaScript a plus)
• Hands-on experience building or supporting a data lake
• Strong SQL experience and database design knowledge
• Experience with DynamoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• AWS infrastructure experience (IAM, storage, networking)
• Solid networking fundamentals (firewalls, IPs, load balancers)
• Experience working with security logs, alerts, or vulnerability data

Nice to Have

• Cloudflare or WAF experience
• Experience consolidating multiple security tools into centralized dashboards
• DevSecOps background
• Experience in large enterprise environments
