AWS Aurora PostgreSQL DBA – 6 Month Contract
£650 per day - Inside iR35 if UK based
Fully Remote - EU

Digitech are partnered with globally recognised tech brand, HQ in London, with unicorn status. We’re looking for two experienced AWS Aurora PostgreSQL DBAs to join a high-performing tech team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is critical in strengthening database expertise, improving resilience, and optimising performance across a large-scale AWS environment.
The role
You’ll be stepping into an environment with 300 – 400 Aurora PostgreSQL databases, helping to:

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents
- Debug high-impact database issues in live environments
- Provide on-call database support
- Identify performance optimisation opportunities

Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning & optimisation
- Proven experience running high-scale, high-performance database environments
- Strong AWS cloud experience (essential)
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) experience (essential)
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems
On-Call Requirements
- 1 week on-call in every 5 weeks
